Just one of the many services that Water Direct provide is delivering bottled water to NHS teams. With the opening of the NHS Nightingale Excel hospital in London, they were also required to provide water to this facility.
Water Direct had acquired a new warehouse which was due to be fitted out to become operational later this year. The project was quickly brought forward to enable them to open the facility to meet the urgent, increased demand brought about by the Coronavirus crisis. Building contractors were working at the warehouse to finalise the required works – relying on a generator for their power.
Water Direct signed up for their electricity supply agreement with Bryt Energy, who quickly registered the supply. Within a matter of days, ECS had arranged for the required meter installation & energisation. This meant that the site was up and running on mains electricity in less than a week from Bryt Energy taking on supply. These are incredibly short timescales and meant the site was ready to go live at the beginning of May.
The work was carried out as an essential job to support Water Direct’s role as a key supplier to frontline NHS workers. Thank you to all who helped to make this possible, and to all of the key workers who are carrying out their roles in the most difficult of circumstances to keep us safe.
