Scratchwood Quarry

A nearby golf course was initially considered as the suggested route for the point of connection to the quarry, however this was to prove a costly and difficult option because of the disruption caused to the golf course by laying cables. After extensive reviewing, ECS managed to successfully liaise and negotiate with The Highways Agency, to gain access to their depot site in order to provide the connection route.
ECS also managed to deliver major cost reductions in the project by negotiating with the landowner of a lane to reposition the metering point.
ECS handled all of the intricacies of negotiation and planning with The Highways Agency and successfully delivered the project – involving end-to-end 18 months of co-ordination and determination to deliver the customer’s requirements. Both customer and their broker ECA were really impressed with the work done by ECS on this project.
