ECS’s expertise is in bespoke utilities solutions for clients such as commercial landlords, property developers, retailers, energy suppliers, consultants and brokers. ECS takes the strain out of managing the multiple agencies involved in the process of utilities connection.

SINGLE AND MULTIPLE UTILITY CONNECTIONS

Installation of electricity, gas, water and telecoms connections, in
combination or individually.

Liaison with DNO’s (Distribution Network Operator) and other third party operators.

Often there are a myriad of agencies to deal with – this can be confusing and time consuming – ECS will liaise on your behalf, meaning that these services can be pulled together at the same time, ensuring the minimum amount of hassle.

Temporary Builders Supply

ECS can arrange for a TBS – from small requirements such as a site hut to a larger site operation involving cranes, lifting equipment and disruptive loads. This can be extended to include all on-site electrical installation requirements.

UTILITY SITE WORKS

Upgrades to existing infrastructure

ECS can carry out a feasibility study and arrange for necessary works to be carried out on your behalf.

Supply alteration

Should a supply need to be altered or re-routed ECS can arrange this with the minimum of disruption.

Meter removal and disconnections

Due to the complex nature of disconnections (the meter operator and the supplier are different entities) it can be difficult to get a supply disconnected and the meter removed on time. ECS will organise this on the client’s behalf to the agreed timeline.

SITE SURVEYS AND DESIGN

Site Surveys and Feasibility Studies

By travelling to site, ECS’s Project Managers are able to identify any issues or problems, and often cost saving opportunities and present you with a detailed and accurate proposal. This can save time and money.

Energy Surveys

These are designed to help you identify and implement energy saving measures to save money and reduce carbon emissions. This report is computer generated using energy analysis software to build a model of energy use at the site. This data is analysed and when combined with observations made at the site visit, calculates energy savings specific to circumstances. The auditor is then able to make specific recommendations based on energy, cost and carbon saving measures with the support of the associated financial and environmental justifications. This enbales clients to realise cost savings and substantial reductions in carbon emissions from their business operations.

ENERGY MANAGEMENT

Including tariff analysis, costing, budgeting and forecasting

Landlord Billing Solutions

Where buildings have multi occupants – traditionally landlords have split the bill. However as electricity becomes more expensive, tenants may be unhappy about this. AMR or smart metering allows 100% accurate billing using industry accredited meters, and ECS also offer bespoke landlord billing solutions which are cost neutral and allow revenue streams to be identified.

Smart metering

ECS can supply energy usage information by the use of smart meters and software – identifying usage peaks which allow you to pin point potential savings or wastage. This can also be operated remotely via a web portal.

Waste management

This is an often underrated tool of energy management in that is often a straightforward way of achieving savings without extra investment, or changing the way the business operates.

Renewables Advice

Including CRC (carbon reduction commitment) ECS offers advice on all aspects of renewables, including installation, commissioning and OFGem accreditation.

ECS offer advice on every aspect of solar installations – be it funding sources, procurements, connection to site, through to full certification for G59 requirements.

If an end-to-end service is required ECS can take responsibility for the on-going programme of installation, and commissioning of the required utility connections. This process of liaising effectively between all the relevant parties requires a detailed knowledge of industry processes and relevant contact points.  The added value brought to this process by ECS is in the continuity of effort and contact all the way along the supply chain.  ECS can manage this supply chain so you don’t have to.
