Building Network Operator (BNO) standards – required all across the UK

BNO design standard is now required for both new build and refurbished multi-occupied properties. This places a new responsibility on freeholders, estate managers and landlords of such premises. There is now an area of responsibility between the main electrical intake point and the customers’ electrical installation. This section is now the responsibility of the Building Network Operator – who could be the Property Developer, Builder, Electrical Contractor, Property Manager or Commercial Landlord.

The impact of not complying with the new standard can have repercussions in both the short and longer term, including the Meter Operator’s refusal to install a meter, delayed power on and costly fines for late delivery.

Find out how our dedicated BNO team can help you get it right from design to power on and beyond including annual maintenance. Visit www.bno.co.uk or email hello@bno.co.uk
